Ryker Ref 2013 by Colonels-Corner Ryker Ref 2013 by Colonels-Corner
Don't really have anything new to submit lately ;o; But I keep forgetting I finally colored these lines awhile ago, so here! Ryker's a pretty old guy now!
Always liked his old ref, so this was sort of just an updated version and a small revamp.

-----

Some Ryker Info:
Ryker is a traveller, a nomad. He can't stay in one place for very long. This is something you should know about him!

You should ALSO know, though, that Ryker is the most kind hearted, happy, positive, friendly dog you'll ever meet. At his very core is pure goodness, and because of that he makes a lot of friends on his never ending journey, and leaves peace in his wake.

Many inquire as to why he continues to travel. Many assume he's searching for something, be it a haunting past, perhaps a woman, or answers to questions unknown. But Ryker will laugh and tell you that it's just in his nature to travel.

He's often accompanied by a large black raven, whom he shares a close bond with. Despite being unable to speak, they have a silent understanding of one another and are long lasting friends. Ryker may make many alliances, but few have grown so close as the Raven.

and more art of him!

Ryker has a knack for "accidentally" charming the crud out of ladies with his kindness and sensitivity, he's met a lot on his travel, and remembers each and every one of em!

Thanks! I usually have a hard time with brown colored designs for some reason, but I've always held this guy close to my heart C:

So fluid and stretchy ~ and I love how you wrap his pattern around the form.
Aww, that angelic face in the lower left - he's actually signalling to the raven sidekick is you look into his eyes hard enough. XD

Wonderful textures, too!

(Damn, reminds me of a minor villain named 'Ryker' I had in that webcomic I drafted in the 9th grade... I should redraw some of that. I hate how much work I put into something so insanely stupid - I drafted a full religious and political structure, architectural movements, the economic structure of a full-on soviet union allegory, the anatomy of different species of werewolf, the geological formations of the dimension it took place in, and the grammar and basic vocabulary of one of many planned werewolf languages.
(5 of the 25 consonants are variations on "s," and there are no nasal phonemes; there were 'specific' and 'vague' forms of the third person pronoun; it was SOV (SVO in questions) and cases were determined by suffix.
Missing the notes I wrote on it. All I have left are a few charts and random phrases - “Qe fe tun mae an Ghasstəð pwiquU-və ya?” is “can you direct me to the shop?” and "ə ma!kegha qefuw-dae kyiqlao ṅəm ggaoss" is "the (theoretical) archer hid behind (unseen) yon rock." (That n in "ṅəm" should have an umlaut, and pronounced like a dutch 'n' with the tongue at the back of the throat.)
As it turns out, inventing languages is hard as fuck, and as a theoretical linguist I was inventing one that no one could use. Kinda glad I gave up on it. Luckily my high school was filled with nerds, never got beaten up for it.. XD Some of my friends were making their own and gave up quite fast.)
